We love stories of animal friendships across different species. In this one, the two BFFs are a wombat and a kangaroo! Holly Harris, the founder of Lindoway Farm, a wildlife animal rescue in Australia, pulled over as soon as she saw a wombat on the side of the road. She rescued little Wally, who had just lost his mom, and brought him back to the rescue. Two months later, Buggy the kangaroo arrived after he was found hiding in the bushes at a local golf course.
Wally and Buggy, both having lost their moms at such a young age, bonded instantly. They had two separate pouches to rest in, but whenever Holly came inside, she’d find them snuggled up in the same pouch together. This became a little more difficult as they got bigger, but the two made it work. They were inseparable. Sometimes, Holly would even find them spooning by the fireplace!
These two are the absolute cutest and we’re so glad that they have each other. This video of the adorable pair is sure to brighten up your day!
