Cats are incredibly intelligent; they’re constantly learning and are able to pick up on the most subtle cues from their guardians. Ever try to hide a toy or treat from your cat? Then you know how frustrating it can be to try and outsmart them.

While their intelligence does lead to a lot of mischief, it can also be very useful. Just take the cats in this video who have all learned sign language.

Kim Silva and her husband, the cats’ guardians, are both hearing impaired and use sign language to communicate. Kim spent years teaching sign language at the American School for the Deaf and decided to teach her cats to sign as well.

All three of her gorgeous felines have effortlessly learned to respond to signs. Bambi, the Siamese cat, is also deaf, so the other cats’ knowledge of sign language is especially helpful.

We just love seeing these brilliant cats show off for the camera. What smart kitties!
