After graduating high school, she moved to New York City, where she studied musical theater at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. New York's vibrant, urban environment can be very inspiring and it was here that writing became an important part of her life. Latrice later went on to attend Temple University in Philadelphia, where she earned a degree in Cultural Anthropology. Curiosity, a passion for creativity and a thirst for adventure led her live a bohemian life for many years, working unusual jobs and traveling all over the world. Animals, food, travel, nature, the arts, the ocean, history, laughter, dancing and other forms of merriment are all among her favorite things. These days, she has slowed down to enjoy a peaceful life with her family in Chesapeake VA, where she is experiencing the joys of being a writer, a wife and a new mother. There are over 70 million homeless animals living in the U.S. today, and about 70 percent of which are cats – and the numbers are growing every day. It is estimated that in six years time, one unaltered female cat can produce up to 400,000 kittens! This staggering number only starts to explain how there are so many cats living on the fringes of human society. With their naturally independent nature, many homeless cats quickly become feral, rejecting all human contact. But sometimes, if you are lucky, you can gain the trust of these animals, striking up a special friendship that feels like a privilege.
Sometimes an act of kindness can save a life. At other times it can only make what is left of a life better. Rest in peace, Blondie.

Sad. . . . very sad
This lady takes 14 months to gain a cats trust in order to save it?????
1. If the cat can survive 14 months on it\’s own, help is not needed.
2. The cat is now a \’caged animal\’ instead of being free.
Can someone please explain how this is good?
I disagree, this beautiful cat did need something. She needed love, comfort, security, a life without fear. Do you think the life of a homeless cat is fun? When they are scared all the time, lonely, unloved, hungry and thirsty? I am glad she finally found all this if only for a few days.
