After graduating high school, she moved to New York City, where she studied musical theater at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. New York's vibrant, urban environment can be very inspiring and it was here that writing became an important part of her life. Latrice later went on to attend Temple University in Philadelphia, where she earned a degree in Cultural Anthropology. Curiosity, a passion for creativity and a thirst for adventure led her live a bohemian life for many years, working unusual jobs and traveling all over the world. Animals, food, travel, nature, the arts, the ocean, history, laughter, dancing and other forms of merriment are all among her favorite things. These days, she has slowed down to enjoy a peaceful life with her family in Chesapeake VA, where she is experiencing the joys of being a writer, a wife and a new mother. Rescuing animals is one of the most rewarding things that a person can do. Not only are you saving a life when you take in a needy animal, but you also get the added perk of all the love and cuddles that come with caring for them. Who wouldn’t love that!
When Imgur user Crunkthatlemon heard about three abandoned kittens living in a coworkers garage, she was happy to give these two-week-old babies whatever help they needed. The poor kittens were filthy and covered in urine; their little eyes were barely open when she took them into her home. Taking care of three kittens is no easy work, but the payback is pure love.
As much as we hear about people hurting animals, this story is proof that people are also out there helping animals, every day. By rescuing animals, we also rescue a part of ourselves. If you would like to provide a foster home to kittens in need, pay a visit to your local animal shelter and sign up. Fostering is a great way to add love to your home, and it saves lives!
