Woman Sends Funny Cat Video to Fostering Agency

Katie Austin, a 38-year-old actor and filmmaker from San Francisco, found herself fostering cats as she navigated the challenges of long Covid, which left her with severe fatigue and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). With her career on hold, Austin dedicated her time to providing temporary homes for cats awaiting adoption.

While most of her fostering experiences have been successful, she recently encountered a unique situation with a kitten named Ella. Austin had hoped for a companion who would enjoy her company and snuggle up close. Contrary to her expectations of aloofness from cats, Ella was eager to defy those notions.

In a moment of humor and concern, Austin reached out to the foster agency to share her unexpected predicament, capturing the interaction in a video she later posted on her TikTok account @clickclickpurr. The clip quickly went viral, amassing over 5.9 million views and nearly 680,000 likes. It features a heartwarming scene of Austin lounging on the couch, with Ella nestled snugly against her cheek, peacefully napping, and proving to be the perfect cuddle buddy.
