Everyone loves a good werewolf movie. There’s something about a man turning into a beast that fascinates people. But, just how dangerous are wolves? Wild wolves are usually afraid of people and avoid them. Wolves are social animals that travel in packs, led by an alpha male and alpha female. Sort of similar lions hierarchy. Out of the 60,000 wolves in North America, there have only been two fatalities associated with them in recent years. However, their interaction with other animals can be tricky. They are Canis lupis, so how do they act with domesticated dogs, Canis lupus familiaris? According to this baby wolf and Border Collie’s interaction, just fine!
Nine-week-old wolf pup Nikai initially seems to be getting the short end of the stick in playing tug of war with Faye, a 13-week-old Border Collie. While Faye grunts and groans to hold on to the rag, Nikai quietly tries to hold his ground, without much success, despite the size of his paws. At the end, however, they touch noses and call a truce!
