The remarkable transformation of a Great Pyrenees named Lily has garnered praise and shown how much love can change a dog’s life. The video was posted to the account @tracyfosterling and shows the dog’s progress from when Tracy first welcomed Lucy home to around a year and a half later.

In the video, the text overlay reads “show your dog when you first got them…and now…” The video shows Lucy, who struggled to walk, then and now. The dog’s progress is nothing short of amazing! Tracy first saw Lucy in a Facebook post by her previous person, who was selling Lucy. Tracy is not sure what caused Lucy’s mobility problems but was amazed by her continuing high spirits. After adopting Lucy, it was discovered she had a condition called bilateral luxating patellas. Lucy had to undergo surgery for this condition. Fortunately, after surgery and physical therapy, Lucy has come so far! Now, she can run and play like any other dog, although she gets tired a little more quickly.
