A shy senior dog named Nino has spent most of his life in shelters. Estimated to be eight to ten years old, Nino now resides at a Derbyshire rescue called Just For Dogs. He is the shelter’s longest resident.
@justfordogsrescue Replying to @Cory Wood Meet Nino, the boy that has practically lived most of his life here at JFD❤️🩹… Nino is appealing for an adoption or foster home in which he can finally feel permanent true love💙. Nino has experienced several trialed homes, that didn’t seem to work out for him. Due to his lack of socialisation as a pup, Nino struggles to get things right in life💔 He is such a loveable character, but due to his past, has a tendency to react to noises in the home, and is wary of new people, therefore, he is looking for a quiet, retirement or single person home, where he can live out the rest of his life in peace. He is a beautiful boy, who deep down has such a loving and relaxed soul💙 His rear legs are slowly losing strength with his age, so we are appealing for a home that will help him to be comfortable in life and take him on short, steady walks❤️🩹 He is loved by all here at JFD, and we pray every day that he finds the home and love that he deserves…🥺 If you are looking for a faithful friend that simply wants peace, love and relaxation in life, then this boy is for you💙 Please message us for more information and application forms🐾💙 #dogdogvlovesrescuedoghrehomeoadoptmeoadoptionoadoptdontshopsfosterhomepappealvlovemeeover2000daysnlongtermdogesrescuedismyfavoritebreedsrescuedogsarebestsrescuedogsukgdogslifesrescuedogoadoptdontshopsrescuedogssrescuedogsofinstagramsRescueDogsOfInstagramsrescuesrescuedismyfavoritebreedsrescueismyfavouritebreeds#rescuedogsrescuedogsrocksjustfordogsDJFDve
Nino began his life at a shelter in Bosnia. Unfortunately, he did not receive adequate socialization as a puppy. This led to lifelong shyness and difficulty trusting people. Unfortunately, this has deeply impacted Nino’s ability to find a forever home. Although he will adjust and learn to trust a few people, he suffers from anxiety and stress. Combined with his timid nature, this has caused him to be continually overlooked. Although he has had trial periods in several homes, none were a good fit for the shy senior dog.
Although shelter staff love Nino, they are hoping he will soon find a forever home in which to live out his golden years. Since he is a scared dog, this shy senior is hoping to find a calm home, preferably with only one person or a retired couple. He is slowly losing strength in his hind legs, so he would enjoy “short, steady walks”.
