When it comes to getting your exercise by playing with animal friends, dogs are more likely to get you moving than cats. Dogs will run, jump, fetch and have a lot of energy. But cats? Not so much. They are more of the lounging type – and the distraction type!
Cats don’t seem to like it when we try to get our exercise. This is especially true when a yoga mat is involved. Every time we just want to do some stretching, our cats plop onto the mat as if they own it, staring at you as if to say, “what now, human?” And forget lifting weights or doing jumping jacks, because that precious little furball will stand on their hind legs and tap you on the knee with their paw. How can you not bend down and pet them in that happens? See, the distractions keep coming when cats are involved!
Our best intentions to get in some exercise is often met with a big fat NO from our feline friends. Oh well, we love them anyway!
