The company teamed up with a group of veterinarians to add wearable fans to their pet clothing. The fan attaches to an adorable mesh outfit that weighs just 2.8 ounces and is operated by a battery. The idea was inspired by air conditioner jackets worn by workers outside.
The device blows air around the animal’s body and comes in five different sizes to fit different sizes of dogs. Although a single piece can cost as much as $74, since its debut in July, the company has already received over 100 orders.
The rainy season in Tokyo ended early this year, which has led to high temperatures around the capital.
“The hot weather will probably continue. There was almost no rainy season this year, so hot days came early, and in that sense, I think we developed a product that is right for the market,” Rei Uzawa, the president of Sweet Mommy, told Yahoo.
Japan has already seen the hottest day ever in June when the temperature rose above 95 degrees Fahrenheit.

This French Artist created an eye-opening depiction of what the world will look like post-climate change. We need to work toward fighting Climate change and remember that our actions can impact people all over the world who could be paying a much higher price than we think.
