There are over 70 million stray animals living the United States who are looking to find a forever home. Despite the best efforts of rescue shelters and organizations to save these animals from life on the streets, once the animals are brought into a shelter’s care, they still have to overcome the challenge of getting adopted.
Unfortunately, there is a horrible stigma against shelter pets which prevents people from adopting them. Many believe that the “best” pets are ones that come from breeders or stores and that animals in shelters are in some way broken or unruly. This couldn’t be farther from reality. Thankfully, the Humane Society of Utah is working to tear down these negative perceptions of shelter pets by creating unique and beautiful photo booth style pictures of all the dogs in need of a forever home. By showing these pups for the amazing individuals that they are, the shelter is working to show the world that shelter animals and not broken – but in fact, some of the most amazing pets you can find!
