Starving Puppies Showed Up in a Store Scavenging for Scraps, Now They’re On Their Way to a Life Filled With Food and Love!

SNARR Animal Rescue Northeast is sharing the story of two beautiful puppies named Lennon and Ono. Take a look at what happened to them and see if you don’t fall immediately in love!

The rescue responded to a post about two starving puppies who found their way into a store and were so hungry that they were scavenging for food. When the team went to investigate, they found these two beautiful pups hungry, thirsty, and scared. It also looks like poor Lennon was hit by a car!

Who knows how long these two suffered out on their own on the streets with Lennon in agony from his injuries. The fact these two little ones stuck together and have now been saved together brings a (happy) tear to our eyes.

Lennon and Ono have both been checked over, and Lennon is going to need expensive surgery. His pelvis was fractured and he needs to have his hip and femur put back together again.

These pups are severely malnourished with their bones protruding through their skin. They’re going to be okay, but there is a long road to recovery ahead for them both – Lennon in particular. 

SNARR Animal Rescue Northeast stepped in to help despite already being stretched to their limit on existing vet bills. If they hadn’t, Lennon and Ono would have otherwise been destined for a shelter in Texas, where they might not have gotten out alive.

Look at these two beautiful pups and just imagine what a tragedy that would have been.

These animals have to fend for themselves on the streets, desperately scavenging for food and water, trying to find shelter, and in the case of poor Lennon, risk awful injuries that will only get worse without someone to take care of them. We have to become a nation of pet adopters instead of buyers in order to save more lives like Lennon and Ono’s. They deserve so much more than a terrifying life alone on our streets.
