Don’t you just love a story with a happy ending?! Here is one today from Two Tailz Rescue that will absolutely leave you smiling.

Molly is a beautiful three-year-old shepherd mix who ended up stuck in boarding for a very long month after losing her family home. All this little girl needed was a loving home with a fenced yard and an experienced owner who could help Molly train to become the beautifully-behaved girl we know she will be with a little love and attention.

Molly was very lonely and depressed when she lost her family and home.

Molly was amazing with other dogs, adults, and children, and is so well-natured that volunteers couldn’t help but fall in love with her. But even when dressed up for adoption days, nobody seemed to be interested.

Everyone at the shelter was constantly dismayed when people passed Molly by. Her long stay in the shelter left Molly anxious and with kennel stress, which is no way for a dog to live!

We promised you a happy story, didn’t we? Well, here it is! Molly was adopted by Gina and Tony, a family across the country, who previously adopted a dog named Max through Two Tailz Rescue. In order to meet her new brother, Molly needed to be flown out to her new family. Here she is, getting ready for her journey.

But, like all good stories, there was a cliffhanger ready to derail Molly’s happy ending, and the weather was too bad for Freedom Flightz Pilots to fly. However! Kind volunteers stepped in to arrange ground transportation instead, and we are happy to report that Molly has now fit right into her new home. Here she is, playing with Max.

Adopted dogs can bring so much joy into your lives and are in such great need of love and affection that it’s impossible not to feel for these poor animals who end up abandoned in shelters for long periods of time. It’s true that some dogs who have come to live in shelters need a little bit more love and attention, but that is all the more reason to want to take them into our homes and give them the lives they have yet to experience. Adopt, don’t shop, when you are looking for your next pet!
