Rescuers Go to Amazing Lengths to Save a Goat Stranded on the Highway (VIDEO)

Edgar’s Mission farm animal sanctuary is known for some pretty incredible animal rescues. We’ve seen them save a litter of kittens from a warehouse, take in injured animals that others had given up on, and do a whole host of other incredible things.

Now, continuing this organization’s trend of amazing acts of compassion for animals is this video of Pam Ahern, founder of Edgar’s Mission, and Manfred of Five Freedoms Animal Rescue coming to the aid of a goat in need.

The goat was living on a patch of grass right on the edge of the highway, and he had been there for some time. According to Manfred, the goat would cross the busy roadway in search of food and water, putting both himself and all countless drivers in danger.

As the rescuers explain, Local Law Enforcement would have been able to remove the goat, but since there is no guarantee that they would have done so without lethal force, they took matters into their own hands. 

Getting hold of the goat wasn’t easy, but his evasive tactics were no match for the rescue team’s determination. Finally, they managed to catch the goat and transfer him to the rescue van, his first steps towards a kinder life at Edgar’s Mission sanctuary.

Thanks to these wonderful people, the goat won’t need to scrounge for food or water anymore, and he’ll have all the love and companionship he could ever want!
