Guardians of the Voiceless is a non-profit organization with two goals in mind: to provide an education and healthcare to underprivileged children and to rescue and rehabilitate homeless animals from the streets. In educating children with lessons about being compassionate towards animals, they hope to build a brighter future for both humans and animals alike.
When on a mission to locate an injured dog, the Guardians of the Voiceless rescue team came across another homeless dog with a massive abscess on her neck. They knew they had to step in and save her.
The sweet dog they named Soni looked at rescuers as if pleading with them for help, and she readily allowed them to transport her to their care facilities.
Once at the shelter, Soni was examined to determine a plan of action to remove the abscess. They cleaned and disinfected the site and drained the fluids from the growth.
Thankfully, the procedure was a success! Soni is expected to make a full recovery, but she is being monitored at the shelter and is receiving antibiotics until she is well enough to be released.
You can watch the entire rescue and procedure here, but we warn you, some of the content is quite graphic and may be difficult for some viewers to watch.
Guardians of the Voiceless relies on generous donations from animal lovers like yourself in order to carry out their heroic missions. Soni is a success story, but she still has a long road to full recovery. If you are able, please consider making a donation to Guardians of the Voiceless so they can give Soni the care she deserves and rescue more animals in need.
If you are touched by Soni’s story, please share this with your friends and family!
