You may remember the rescue of Ruby, a homeless dog taken under the wing of the Guardians of the Voiceless team. The Guardians were informed by a friend of the rescue, Mr. Tarsem, about the gentle female dog he had found with a massive tumor on her stomach. Ruby’s tumor turned out to be so big that it literally reached the ground when the dog was standing up.

With such horrible weight, it was difficult for the animal to even walk. To add to that, Ruby was found to have a transmissible venereal tumor (TVT) on her genitals. Ruby needed to undergo a surgery as soon as possible to relieve her of the painful and dangerous weight of the tumor. She also needed an extensive treatment for her TVT. But the Guardians weren’t about to give up on Ruby.

The Guardians took Ruby to Ludhiana University for a complete evaluation. She received Chemo and medication to treat her TVT was started.

After just a few weeks, she was stronger and the tumor was able to be removed!

“Ruby finally had surgery, and it all went amazingly well! She is a very strong and happy girl who loves attention!” Guardians of the Voiceless reports. Go, Ruby, go!

What’s more, Ruby was adopted! Mr. Tarsem loves her very much and is taking great care of her. Ruby now has all the love she deserves!

Once this sweet girl fully recovers from her surgery, she will be spayed and go on to have a wonderful life, thanks to kind people like Mr. Tarsem and Guardians of the Voiceless.
