On Sept. 28 of this year, animal sanctuary volunteers at Edgar’s Mission in Victoria, Australia, were overjoyed with their recent rescue of three runaway pigs, named Wonder Woman, Captain Courageous, and Super Girl, who were originally destined to be slaughtered for human consumption or meet their ends at “the barrel of a gun,” the organization reports on its blog.
