Although you would never guess from this video, our cow-loving pig friend Luciano, featured above, was rescued by Santuario Igualdad Interespecie just before he could become someone’s holiday meal. When he first came to the sanctuary, he was afraid of people but quickly opened up once he got some good grub and TLC from sanctuary staff. Now he comes running at the sound of human footsteps like an eager little puppy.
Our porcine friend may be young and energetic like a puppy, but he’s already independent and has his own ideas on how things should be run!
Sanctuary staff typically keep younger animals like Luciano in their own pens until they grow large enough to be around bigger animals. However, Luciano felt the urge for some cow kisses and managed to find a secret way into the cow pens when no one was looking… The result of his adventure is shown in this video – too cute!
Santuario Igualdad Interespecie sanctuary staff were probably more than a little surprised at the cuddly new addition to their cow pen, but something tells us that cow play sessions will definitely become a part of Luciano’s future.
