Victoria Baribault from Connecticut captured a touching moment that has gone viral on TikTok, showcasing her parents’ emotional reaction to meeting their new puppy, Archie. This comes after the family recently lost their cherished 12-year-old pit bull mix, Penny, to cancer.

Penny had been a beloved member of the family, especially adored by Victoria’s father, Michael. Her loss left a significant void in their lives. The heartfelt video, posted on May 19 and viewed over 1.9 million times, shows Michael’s tearful joy as he meets Archie, exclaiming, “I got a buddy!”

Victoria said that they found Archie, a mix-breed rescue from Texas, who coincidentally had an eye patch identical to Penny’s. The resemblance felt like a sign, bringing comfort to the grieving family. While Archie will never replace Penny, he has already started to mend their hearts.
