Newlyweds Include Dogs in Their Wedding

Karya and Oliver Davies, both 29, added a unique twist to their wedding by incorporating their love for dogs. On July 4, in Swansea, U.K., the couple tied the knot with their golden retriever, Rufus, by their side. Discovering that their chosen venue was dog-friendly, they extended the invitation to their guests’ furry companions as well.

“We love dogs in our family, they are such a big part of our life and we couldn’t imagine doing our day without them,” Karya shared. Their commitment to including Rufus in their ceremony was so heartfelt that the registrar initially mistook their vows for references to a young child.

The wedding photographer, Sophie Collins (@sophiecollinsphotography), captured the joyous occasion, sharing a TikTok video that quickly went viral. The footage, which garnered nearly 50,000 likes and over 276,000 views, showcased the dogs as they mingled with guests and enjoyed the festivities.

Among the attendees were seven beloved dogs: Rufus, Orlando, Eddie, Dexter, Willow, Harley, and Melodie. They all played their parts perfectly, with some even dressed for the occasion. One smaller dog stole the spotlight, donning an adorable dress and bow.
