The endeavor was not easy. For one stuck moose, it took four people to assist and several pushes. You will be on the edge of your seat watching the almost-but-not-quite-there pushes until the moose is finally free.
Thin ice is not the only obstacle to moose these days. Did you know that researchers in Norway are reporting that Climate change is actually causing moose to lose their fur and go bald? Researchers believe this is happening due to a type of fly called the “deer ked,” which live off the blood of their host. Norway’s unusually warm winters are probably blame, since warmer temperatures are much more conducive to bugs. These bugs are growing in population thanks to rising global temperatures.
