Eloise is a sweet rescue kitten in Newport Beach who came to the shelter with her eye not as pretty as the other kitties there. The shelter said that they were going to euthanize the kitten, so @meganandtherescues stepped in to help. Megan helps special needs animals around Orange County, and luckily, Eloise had a sponsor for her surgery, which is what made the rescue possible.

Eloise quickly went into surgery, but Megan picked her up after she learned that Eloise had tested positive for feline leukemia. Although not the same leukemia that we might think of, feline leukemia is an autoimmune disease in cats, and it is highly contagious. Because of that, Eloise had to be separated from the other cats but in an update video, Megan announced that Eloise was negative for feline leukemia!
