She had been out there for a long time. Neighbors said for months and months. We named her Freya, which means “Warrior”. And that is what she had to be in order to survive on the streets of Los Angeles. Recently, Los Angeles rescuers from Deity Animal Rescue went to the streets to save a dog named Freya, who had been outside for months. They named her Freya, which means Warrior, and “that is what she had to be in order to survive on the streets of Los Angeles.”

In the now-viral video, rescuers drive down a street before they spot Freya sitting under a Chevy in the street. They slowly walked up to the car and set down a bowl of food. Freya almost immediately comes out and starts to eat. Once she had eaten some food and gotten comfortable, the rescuer walked over and put a leash on the pup. Freya was so happy to be around humans and snuggled right up to them and seemed so happy. She even rolled on her back to get some belly rubs!

Back at the rescue, Freya got a bath and some more snuggles. She couldn’t get close enough to her rescuers and slept in their arms.

“Freya is safe now and ready for her next chapter… Stay tuned for Part Two. 🤍,” the shelter wrote in the caption.
