The Wallis Annenberg PetSpace Podcast has emerged as a heartwarming platform celebrating the extraordinary connection between humans and their beloved pets. Based in Los Angeles’ Playa Vista neighborhood, the Wallis Annenberg PetSpace is not your typical animal rescue center. It’s a place where compassion meets innovation, and its podcast, hosted by Catie Voglio, beautifully captures the essence of the human-animal bond. Recently launched with actress Kristen Bell as its inaugural guest, the podcast promises to bring forth inspiring stories, insights from animal experts, and a touch of celebrity charm.

Founded by Los Angeles philanthropist Wallis Annenberg, the establishment was created with the vision of fostering connections between people and animals while providing essential care for homeless pets. It serves as a refuge for animals rescued from overcrowded Los Angeles shelters, offering them a chance to find loving homes.
PetSpace is not just about adoptions; it’s a community hub where pet lovers can gather, attend events like “Yappy Hours,” and learn from industry experts. The center’s inviting atmosphere surprises visitors with its modernity and innovation. Interactive touch screens accompany each adoptable pet, offering a glimpse into their unique needs and histories.
The PetSpace Podcast, produced on-site at Wallis Annenberg PetSpace, extends the center’s mission to a global audience. Hosted by Catie Voglio, produced by Cameron Kell, and featuring audio engineer Roger Gomez, this bi-weekly podcast combines celebrity guests and animal experts to explore the profound bond between humans and their pets.
The podcast aims to break down barriers in animal welfare by making it accessible and relatable. Voglio explains, “A lot of times, animal welfare can be unapproachable. People think of it as too sad or too scary.” Instead, the PetSpace Podcast focuses on heartwarming personal stories that resonate with listeners. Celebrities like Kristen Bell share their experiences of fostering pets, demonstrating that famous personalities are just as passionate about their furry friends as the rest of us.
The PetSpace Podcast has an exciting lineup of guests that promises to keep listeners engaged and inspired. Upcoming episodes will feature Beth Pratt of the National Wildlife Federation, known for her extensive work with Los Angeles mountain lion P-22. Additionally, the podcast will introduce listeners to “Puppy Songs” creator Matt Hobbs, whose catchy tunes about dogs have gone viral. Dr. Kwane Stewart, the founder of Project Street Vet, will also share his journey of providing free veterinary care to pet owners experiencing homelessness.
Looking ahead, the PetSpace Podcast team has a wish list of dream guests, including Chelsea Handler and Chris Evans, both well-known animal lovers. With their passion for pets and the growing success of the podcast, it’s only a matter of time before more celebrities and animal experts join the conversation, sharing their stories and insights into the remarkable human-animal bond.
