Misy, the beautiful dog saved by the Guardians of the Voiceless, was very fortunate to be found and helped at the right time – but she will need even more luck and love to come out of the awful incident healthy and strong.
The rescuers received a call about a dog who was drowning in a sewage – fortunately, some sweepers who helped the poor dog out of the water were nearby. Her condition was critical.
“We arrived as fast as we could and our hearts broke in a million pieces to see the poor innocent girl lying helplessly on the road,” the Guardians wrote on their Facebook page. Misy was soaked through and shaking very badly. The rescuers began to ask around for some clothes and padded the dog’s body to dry and warm her and make her feel safe. On top of all, Misy was dehydrated and had low body temperature, because of which she was given IV fluids. It was too early to take her to the vet right away, but a kind friend of the rescuers let the unfortunate dog stay inside his home.
Once at the vet, Misy had her blood tests done. Her condition is now stable, but she remains fragile and the rescuers are worried about what will happen next – whatever it may be, they will fight to save the sweet dog and give her a second chance at a life.

India needs a serious low cost spay/neuter program and lots of outreach. Surely the situation is much worse than where I lived before and now live but this was done and it made huge difference n the number of homeless animals. This poor girl just wants love and I am gad someone thought to help her.
