It seems as if most animal-related news focuses on people’s cruel actions toward animals. But for every bad news headline, there’s something good too!
The family in this video noticed a hole developing in the front of their housing unit and quickly had it filled, however, a few days after, they noticed that their family dog, Squirrel, had gone missing. They searched the neighborhood for her only to later hear her cries coming from underneath them!
It was clear that their dog had been buried underneath the bricking of the house. The obvious thing to do would be to call the housing authority to make a new hole and help the pup get out. However, the housing authority said that “they aren’t in the business of making or repairing holes, so they’d have to try someone else.” To make matters worse, the housing authority representative didn’t give a number or a lead to anyone else who could help.
Squirrel was heavy with puppies and had been trapped under there for some time. What if she miscarried? What if she had her puppies and they caught a chill? The family knew that the clock was ticking and they took matters into their own hands! It only took two minutes to free Squirrel with a hammer and some elbow grease. Squirrel celebrated her 2nd birthday and had her puppies problem-free a few days later.
