This Homeless Boston Terrier Got Hit by a Car and Needs Our Help to Get the Life She Deserves

With her huge eyes, bat ears, and sweet temperament, Katzoo should be the apple of someone’s eye – but, sadly, that is not her reality just yet. Instead of living in a loving home, this adult Boston Terrier found herself wandering the streets alone. She was found after being hit by a car – and taken under the wing of Snooty Giggles Dog Rescue whose team now uses everything in their power to give Katzoo what she needs, which is an expensive but necessary for her injuries surgery.

Katzoo was first found by her rescuers when they saw her sitting on the corner of their neighbors’ yard. Thinking her to be the new neighbors’ dog, they left her be, but when they saw her still sitting there three days later, they understood something was wrong. When they approached the little dog, she was eager to have assistance, she could not walk without crying out in pain.

After the rescue team was contacted to bring Katzoo into their program, they discovered that the pup’s injury was not a “simple” one and would not heal on its own.

Katzoo has breaks in her hip and pelvis plus a less dangerous break in her leg that will heal naturally. To fix the other breaks, however, the dog will need surgery requiring plates and screws, which greatly increases the cost. Katzoo’s surgery is estimated at around $4,000 – and to make it happen, she and her team of carers really need help.

The rescue can now provide Katzoo with the surgery at Blue Pearl – but to cover the cost, they need all the help they can get. “Remember there is no such thing as a donation that is too small,” they write. “[I]t’s all those bits of love and generosity that make the magic happen!”
