No One Does Halloween Better Than Willow the Cat! (PHOTOS)

Halloween is one of the best holidays of the year. There’s tons of free candy, Halloween movies are playing around the clock, and if you have a pet, you can dress them up! While nowadays there are plenty of Halloween costumes made specifically for dogs and cats sold in stores, there’s nothing as satisfying at making a DIY costume for your favorite furry friend. Making your own costume allows you to dress your pets up in all sorts of unique get-ups from fruits and vegetables to your favorite movie character or latest pop culture phenom.

Willow, a rescue cat that is frequently documented on the Willow the Squishy Cat Instagram, knows a thing or two about dressing up for Halloween. Her guardian rescued Willow from a breeding facility where she was the “mama cat,” and is now making sure Willow gets to experience all of the fun parts of being a house cat, including Halloween! It doesn’t seem like Willow has decided exactly which costume she’ll be wearing on the 31st, but she’s definitely explored quite a few options. There’s no way of knowing exactly what she was thinking when trying on these costumes, but we took the liberty of coming up with some possible guesses.

“I’m just gonna close my eyes and pretend I’m on a beach.” 

“Insert loud roar here.” 

“I was born to play Nyan Cat.” 

“This outfit really makes me crave guacamole.” 

“All the treats, you will give.” 

“Do I look like a bat, mom?” *Sticks tongue out* “How about now?” 

“I hope people like this costume as much as they like Shark Week!” 

“I love riding around in baskets. I should pretend to be an alien more often.” 

“I feel soooo tropical right now.” 

“This black hat really makes my eyes pop.” 

“What do you mean I can’t vote? Not even in this costume?”

“After Halloween is over, I’m so taking a trip to Hawaii.”
