World Meat-Free Week has launched a documentary film series titled “Protectors of the Planet” that features individuals from around the globe who are each doing their part to help save the planet with their food choices.

The above video showcases James Persson, a butcher from Melbourne, Australia who is also the father of a young daughter. Upon learning about the devastating environmental impact of meat on the planet, he was met with a personal dilemma, which led him to make the decision to switch to a plant-based diet in the hopes of securing a better future for his daughter.

The film also features Igor Pershinn and Angie Plummer of “Less Meat Less Heat,” an organization aimed at educating people on the direct connection between meat production and climate change.
