Skinny, Depressed Dog Was Found Tied to a Pole – But Now She Is a Cherished Family Member

Dawn was one of the many dogs that had to endure heartbreaking neglect before she finally got a chance at beginning a new life. When she was discovered by rescuers, Dawn was tied to a pole with a short piece of rope in full scorching sun in the middle of summer. Once she was taken under the wing of Stray Rescue of St. Louis, the dog began to slowly recover, gain much-needed weight, and remember that people can actually be good. Now, Dawn’s life is transformed beyond recognition and she finally has her own forever home, a loving family, and all the little luxuries a dog might want.

When she was rescued, Dawn was skinny and frightened, as well as completely full of milk. As her rescuers noted, it seemed like her puppies had been taken from her too early.

Thanks to the care and love of her carers at the rescue, the dog soon began to gain confidence and recuperate – both physically and emotionally.

Soon, Dawn was perfectly ready to start looking for her forever home and she found just the right one!

Now, the sweet dog’s life looks nothing like what it must have been in the past. She has all the comforts she might have dreamed of – a big fluffy bed and a fireplace included…

Once neglected and abandoned in a sad condition, now Dawn is a brand new dog with a brand new life. Because of the help of her carers at the rescue, her body healed and she learned to trust people again. Now, cuddling up to her human family, she must remember nothing of her past fears at all.
