Abandoned Dog Left in a Crate Without Food or Water for DAYS Is So Happy to Be Free, She Can’t Contain It

We will never stop being amazed by animal rescuers! Recently, the Tunica Humane Society, based in Mississippi, responded to a call that would leave anyone devastated. The caller explained there was a female Pit Bull abandoned by her owner when he moved out of his trailer, without paying rent, and left the dog behind.

Tunica Humane Society immediately responded to the call and found the innocent pup locked in a crate inside the trailer. Miraculously, she had survived without any food or water for DAYS and was standing in her own feces and urine. Understandably, she was agitated.

Tunica Humane Society spent hours with her, feeding her through the crate in hopes of the dog settling down. Rescuers weren’t sure how she would respond if they let her out, so they called Arkabutla Rescue Rehabilitation & Foster (ARRF) for assistance.

Pat Hissong with ARRF came to the rescue and with tons of patience, treats, and encouragement, she was able to get the Pit Bull out of the crate and safely outside!

The sweet girl, now named Dancer, was so ecstatic to finally be out of that filthy crate, she couldn’t help but give Pat lots of kisses!

Dancer has since gotten a much-needed warm bath … and lots of belly rubs! The happy smile on her face is priceless.
