Bath time is not normally a very happy time in a dog’s life. Most shudder and hide at just the word “bath.“ Getting your dog into the tub can often be a laborious process full of begging and pleading on the parent’s side. Dogs have even been known to collapse to the ground in sheer protest of such a horrid thing.
Well, these two little dachshunds did not get that memo. They are so excited about bath time, their mom has to put a baby gate to keep them out of the tub. When the gate is finally removed and mom says “bath time,” these two adorable pups shoot up the stairs as fast as their short, little legs can take them. They head straight to the tub. One of them manages to hop in before their mom can catch up, and the other needs a lift.
We have never seen two dogs so content to swim around and take a bath. It must be nice to have such clean smelling pups all the time. Maybe they can tell our dogs that bath time really isn’t all that bad!
Good thing these two like swimming. They are going to need the water therapy after surgery for their ruptured discs! Never let a dachshund climb stairs like that and never ever let one jump, fall and struggle the way the little one was trying to get into the tub here. Dachshunds are the best – but they require extra care to keep their spines healthy.
Yeah, they definitely need stairs for the bath tub at least. All that jumping is terrible for their little backs.
