One of the best therapies for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) is playing with a little kitty. Research has proven that cats are beneficial physically and emotionally to those who suffer from this disorder, which primarily hits military veterans. Caroline Smith is a former machine gunner who suffers from PTSD and her two rescue kitties, Sophia and Leonidas, provide her plenty of comfort.
Little Sophia has a physical challenge, though, as she’s an amputee. When she was born, her umbilical cord was wrapped around her leg, and it had to be amputated. However, Sophia’s luck will change once she receives a brand new prosthetic leg to help her get around. If cats already have nine lives, how many will this bionic leg add to hers?
Once Sophia is recovered, Caroline wants to share the gift of her cat to provide therapy to other veterans who suffer from this ailment. What could be more purrrfect?
