Wearing fur is so passé. It is such a frowned upon faux pas that whoever makes the ignorant decision to wear fur is readily met with criticism that brings them much embarrassment and shame. Wearing fur is so out of fashion that many of the biggest high-end designer brands, like Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Armani, Tommy Hilfiger, HUGO BOSS, Vivienne Westwood, the all-vegan Stella McCartney, and most recently, Gucci, have made the decision to go fur-free. However, there are still a number of unenlightened clothing brands, like Canada Goose, that still use fur.
A petition on Care2 has been set up to speak out against Canada Goose’s contribution to cruelty. The company uses coyote fur to trim their jackets and down to fill them, both materials of which are the result of the unnecessary torture and suffering of innocent animals. To kill these beautiful, clever, and playful creatures all for the sake of “fashion” is downright deplorable, and it needs to end now.
Please take a moment to sign this petition addressed to Canada Goose, demanding they stop using animal products for their clothing.
The best thing you can do to combat companies like Canada Goose is by never buying anything from them and by educating your friends and family about the cruelty behind these types of brands, so please remember to share this with your network and tell them to boycott Canada Goose and speak up for coyotes!
