If you spotted an animal sitting on the middle of the train track, what would you do? Most of us would probably attempt to save the animal – taking into consideration the safety of all parties involved – but just standing by and not doing anything would be extremely difficult.
When the woman in this video witnessed a dog sitting on the train tracks in Lima, Peru, she stepped up to do what any animal lover would, made sure the coast was clear and then jump down to pick up the dog and carry him to safety. She has been heralded as a hero by the media for her brave actions, but it turns out she is also facing a lawsuit because it is illegal to enter the tracks.
According to the Lima Metro officials, they had stopped all train traffic after learning of the dog and believe the woman should have “trusted that they would do their job instead of defying the rules.”
It has not yeat been decided if the Metro authority will pursue fines against the woman or not, but many have voiced their Support of the woman and offered aid and legal council should charges be put on the table.

If it was that easy and the trains had been stopped why didn\’t the big hulking male employee do what she did? Didn\’t look to me as if they were doing their job!!!
She is heroic! Who knows if anyone else would have helped this poor dog? She should be hailed as a hero and certainly not sued!
