When you think of a lifelong companion, what do you see? Most people would say “dog,” and you might get a few cat people in there as well. But what if we said that cows could also make wonderful companions in their own unique way?
A lot of people think cows are just gigantic, dull animals that do nothing but chew cud and sleep all day. But nothing could be further from the truth. Cows are curious and empathetic animals that form lifelong friendships. In fact, it’s been noted that cows are actually measurably less healthy if they’re separated from their best friends!
The two babies in this video are not as different as they look. They’re both clearly very curious, gentle and interested in being friends. When the calf bends down to see the boy better, our hearts absolutely melt! We’re sure these two have the makings of a great interspecies friendship.
When we stop judging animals by the stereotypes that we’ve created for them and see them as the amazing individuals they are, our perceptions change entirely! Enjoy your time together, little friends!
It was a very moooving story.
