Man With Rare ‘Fast Food Eating Disorder’ Cured Through Unique ‘Vegetable Therapy’

LIKE OGP ON FACEBOOK :

21-year old, Ryan Howarth from Andover, Hampshire has suffered from a condition called selective eating disorder for well over 17 years now. For the majority of his life, Ryan has only consumed a significantly low nutrient diet consisting only of chicken nuggets and french fries with the occasional addition of steak, sausage, pasta, and sweets.

This selective eating disorder developed when Ryan was an adolescent and after crying for 20 minutes after being prompted to try something other than chicken nuggets and french fries, his family knew it was serious. As Ryan grew into adulthood, he knew he had to make some changes, especially knowing what a diet like this could do to his body and his overall health.

After seeking advice from a therapist, Ryan was put on a fruit and vegetable therapy plan that urged him to introduce new foods into his life. Only moments into his fruit and vegetable therapy, Ryan developed a passion for trying new things and even loving foods he never could have imagined enjoying, like pineapple.

Including fruits and vegetables into his diet has significantly impacted Ryan in a multitude of ways. He now loves eating out with family and friends without feeling a pang of dread about trying new foods. He also says, “I feel healthier and I feel like I have more energy throughout the day.”

Before this dietary change, Ryan would often feel lethargic and would have to eat chocolate just to keep him going. He also had to take vitamins to make up for all the nutrients his diet was lacking.

His family is delighted by the change, and his mother, Christiane, explains that, “It is incredible how much he has changed. He’s been more outgoing and he’s helping me with things around the house.” Christiane is happy to have her son back and is thrilled that Ryan’s diet is no longer controlling his life!

This is the most ridiculous thing I have read today and that is saying a lot! If he was given healthy food from his first bite of food he wouldn\'t have had this made up disorder! You don\'t just allow your child to eat like crap because they cry what the hell is wrong with his parents?
