Natural Sunscreen Lips

You remembered to put your sunscreen on your face and body, but forgot to protect those luscious lips of yours.

Same as your face and body, you should always be protecting your lips from getting chapped, cracked or dry lips.  The sun isn’t the only thing that can make your lips chapped.  There are actually many causes to chapped lips —  more than what I thought! Anything from licking your lips, over exposure to the cold or windy conditions, allergies to cosmetic products, infections, drugs, dehydration, frequent use of soaps and other chemicals and even deficiency of vitamin A, B and C.

Here are a few tips and tricks to avoid getting chapped lips:

  • Avoid using flavored chap sticks and balms as this could induce frequent licking
  • A routine of exfoliating and moisturizing the lips either with a toothbrush or cloth and make sure to moisture your lips after
  • For the girl green monsters, apply lip balm before you apply your lipstick
