Halle Bailey Says Pregnancy Cravings Made Her Quit Her Plant-Based Diet

Halle Bailey recently opened up about her changing dietary choices during her pregnancy. In an Instagram Live session, the actress and singer revealed that she started craving meat while expecting her son, Halo, leading her to break away from her long-standing plant-based diet.

Bailey had followed a plant-based lifestyle for 13 years but found herself overwhelmed by cravings during pregnancy. She expressed that she wanted to prioritize her and her baby’s health, saying, “I’m doing a really hard job of growing a human, and I also wanted to make sure Halo was getting the proper nutrients.”

She explained that if she has a desire for chicken or another type of meat, she allows herself to indulge without guilt. “If I want it, I’m gonna have it,” she stated, emphasizing her commitment to listening to her body’s needs.
