A new feature in My Modern Met showcased the aesthetic of eco-friendly artist, Saype. He is known for his “biodegradable frescos on grass,” featured on sites around the world.

His art is made with biodegradable paint and is designed to spread a message of positivity. Saype has been featured in the Forbes 30 under 30 and has created art in Italy, Andorra, France, and Colombia.

His project, Beyond Walls, is ambitiously working to create the world’s largest human chain. His installations show human hands clasped across space. In Paris, in 2019, he painted a 2,000-foot long human chain at the foot of the Eiffel Tower.

“I like to tell myself that, like everything on earth, I will leave a mark of my passage,” he told My Modern Met. “The question is, what trace will I leave? I worked as a nurse for years, and I was in regular contact with death, suffering… you ask those kinds of questions. Then, I like to tell myself that I can make an impact without impacting nature. Ultimately, it is a message of living together and of compassion that I want to convey.”
