Nearly 80 percent of Americans Support a maximum age limit for elected officials, and almost three quarters back age limits for Supreme Court justices, according to national polling. That level of agreement across parties is rare. Yet Congress has not acted.

The United States is led by some of the oldest officials in its history. We have seen leaders step aside over age concerns, and reports have allegedly raised questions about cognitive health at the highest levels of power. Still, there are no clear safeguards to ensure ongoing fitness for office. In most professions, age, health, and performance standards exist to protect the public. This is not about disrespecting older Americans. It is about accountability and public trust. Confidence in government is falling, and voters want reform. Sign the petition now to demand reasonable age limits for federal officials. Sign the petition now to help restore faith in our democracy.
