This dog named Rudy was found wounded and sitting in a plastic bucket. Watch this video to see his heartwarming transformation at his new foster home. Once wandering the streets scared and alone, Rudy can now be found taking baths and being pampered!
Rescues like Rudy’s and others are all thanks to the Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation (S.N.A.R.R.), which is based out of Westchester County, New York. They were founded in 2011 and run by Courtney Bellew. Courtney says she has found her passion and wants to do more to help in her area. The rescue team gives hope to hopeless dogs.
“We save the toughest dogs to place; those with serious medical conditions, paralyzed dogs, deaf and blind dogs, severely emaciated dogs, dogs with neurological deficits & disease, dogs with injuries and orthopedic issues … the animals that nobody else wants; the dogs that would otherwise be euthanized,” says Bellew.
If you live in the New York City or New Jersey area, you can apply to volunteer at the rehabilitation center on their website and help S.N.A.R.R. save more dogs and find them loving forever homes by donating!
