Teens Record Themselves Shooting a Dog and Laughing

Teenagers are old enough to understand right from wrong and know when they’re doing something bad. Therefore, they should face appropriate consequences when they commit crimes, especially when they do cruel and horrible things. A few months ago, a teenager recorded herself shooting her dog ten times and showing no remorse. Two young hunters also filmed themselves brutally abusing a deer a few months ago. More recently, another teenager killed his family’s dog by putting her in the clothes dryer. All this teenagers showed zero remorse for the terrible crimes they committed and the ways they hurt innocent animals. They pose a danger and threat to all humans and animals.

Unfortunately, another similar case has emerged. A video surfaced on Snapchat of a teen laughing as another teen shot a dog. That’s a terrifying way for teenagers to behave.

Christa LaRochelle, who was sharing information about the footage says: “I just pray they are both prosecuted appropriately, so others know not to do this for any reason.”

The dog is likely a stray dog that was roaming the neighborhood searching for food.

What these teens did is unacceptable. As LaRochelle says, if they are punished for the crime, other teens and people are less likely to do the same thing, and we need to protect both animals and people from violent people.

Police are investigating this disturbing case, which has inspired Animal rights supporters hoping to get legislation passed to make abuse of cats and dogs a felony.
