Exotic birds go through so much stress when taken from the wild to be sold in pet stores. Even in their new homes, they might not be treated with the care that they deserve. Fefe, a pet cockatoo, was so stressed in her living environment that she plucked all of her feathers off. She also made a habit of walking in circles, likely due to being kept in a small cage. Fortunately, her owner surrendered her to a Parrot rescue, where a woman named Eve volunteered.
Eve fell in love with Fefe and worked to convince her husband, who wasn’t a huge fan of birds, to adopt Fefe with her. When she brought home the little bird, he was uninterested at first. But soon, he and Fefe made a special connection. Now the two are obsessed with each other!
Fefe loves searching for him around the house and will climb up his leg if he doesn’t pick her up. He loves to hold her, give her little foot massages, and even float her around on a raft while he’s in the pool. Now Fefe gets so much love and space to roam around! She stays out in the living room with Eve and her husband all day! Fefe is definitely living her best life and is much happier and healthier because of it!
