Who can resist a good rescue story? Dogs do so much good for humans from just being our companions to providing emotional support and actually saving lives that they deserve a hand from humans when they’re in need. Recently, we shared the amazing rescue story of three puppies who were living in a sheep carcass on a mountain and now we have another sweet rescue story for you!

The fire department in Fresno shared a video of some of their firefighters rescuing a dog that somehow got stuck in a canal. They tried using a ladder to get the dog up, but that did not work. Thankfully, one of the firefighters just got in the canal and carried the dog to safety!

After comforting the dog that went through a terrifying ordeal, he was taken to Fresno County Animal Control. It’s not clear if the dog had an owner.

We hope Animal Control helps the pup get adopted into a forever home! And we’re very grateful the firefighters stepped into help this dog in need.
