It’s been a hot summer, and humans aren’t the only ones who need to find creative ways to cool down. At the Wildlife SOS

Older elephants preferred a more relaxing dip in the pool, but younger elephants, like Peanut and Coco, spent their time splashing and playing around in the water. So cute!

The pools aren’t only a fun way for the elephants to cool down on hot days. They are also great for relaxation and therapeutic purposes. The buoyancy helps take some of the pressure off of their feet. Plus, the hydrotherapy pool’s high-pressure jets help massage the elephants’ joints, increase blood circulation, relieve chronic muscle aches, and rebuild muscle memory with its natural resistance.

Baiju Raj M.V, Director of Conservation Projects at Wildlife SOS, commented, “The elephants spend hours in the pools and it fills our hearts with joy to watch them simply relaxing in the water. We also take them to the Yamuna river which they thoroughly enjoy.”
