YouTube Channel Featuring Relaxing Music for Animals Makes Man Millions

When Amman Ahmed first began making music for YouTube, it was geared towards helping people deal with insomnia. However, soon he pivoted to making relaxing music for animals. The concept quickly took off. Now, Ahmed runs two YouTube channels that make him millions. The channels are called RelaxMyDog and RelaxMyCat. They feature music to help calm anxious animal companions.

After the pandemic, animal companions suffered from increased rates of separation anxiety. This is largely because they had become accustomed to having their humans home for longer periods. When people returned to work, it caused an increase in stress for their animal companions. Dogs and cats suffering from separation anxiety can experience stress. This may manifest as barking, pacing, or other destructive and dangerous behavior.

Ahmed’s music can help fuzzy companions relax and feel more at ease. After experimenting with different sounds, frequencies, and types of music, his channels now feature dozens of relaxing playlists for animal companions. According to Ahmed, there was little research on what kind of music helped animals feel more at ease. So, while creating his music, much of the information was gathered by observing dogs’ and cats’ reactions to certain music.

According to PetMD, there are a variety of reasons why music may help animals relax. Playing music may help mask other noises that animals find alarming such as thunder, fireworks, or vacuum cleaners. Although there has not been a large amount of study in this area, a 2002 study did show that classical music can have calming effects on dogs. This has since been confirmed by other studies, which have shown that other types of music may have similar effects.

Ahmed says that he receives messages from people saying that his music has greatly helped to reduce their animal companion’s anxiety. Indeed, the soothing music has acquired many “super fans” who rely on Ahmed’s tunes to help their dogs and cats stay calm.
