Woman Goes Viral for Rescuing Kitten Under Her Car Hood

An amazing rescue has taken the internet by storm after a TikTok video captured a woman saving a tiny kitten trapped in her car hood. On July 3, user @little.miss.emotional shared a clip showing her reacting to persistent meowing noises coming from the front of her vehicle. Realizing the sounds were coming from under the hood, she expressed her determination to help, even though she didn’t initially know how to open it.

With the assistance of passersby, the hood was lifted to reveal a small white and gray kitten, which had sought refuge in the engine compartment. The video, which has amassed 13 million views and 2.2 million likes, shows the rescuers carefully extracting the kitten and the woman comforting it in her lap.

Experts from Catster.com explain that kittens often crawl into car engines seeking warmth, especially in cooler weather. This can be hazardous for both the animal and the vehicle. To prevent such incidents, it’s advised to tap the hood or honk the horn before starting the car, particularly during colder seasons.
