The video captured Buddy gleefully removing all the fluff from his toy, only for Baeza to take it away, leaving him with an exaggerated expression of indignation.

In the clip, which has gained a staggering 1.3 million views, Buddy’s comically aggrieved side-eye had viewers in stitches. Baeza revealed that the act of de-stuffing toys is Buddy’s favorite pastime, making the loss all the more devastating for him.

Acknowledging the instinct of dogs to hunt and deconstruct toys, Rocklin Ranch Veterinary Hospital in California emphasized the importance of supervision to prevent the ingestion of harmful materials. It’s advisable for pet parents to opt for toys made of durable materials and to remove any small parts that could be ingested. Veterinary hospitals cautioned against materials like nutshells and polypropylene beads, urging humans to choose toys wisely to avoid potential health hazards.

Highlighting the risks associated with certain toy fillings, Baeza shared her practice of sewing up Buddy’s toys for continued play or replacing them with safer alternatives. The viral video, posted on March 5th, has since amassed over 111,000 likes and nearly 600 comments.
