Viral Dog BFFs Find Their Forever Home Together

In a heartwarming tale from the Minneapolis Animal Care and Control (MACC), two inseparable shelter dogs have found their forever home together. The pair, known as Brenda and Linda, became viral sensations when a video of Brenda scaling a five-foot kennel wall to join Linda was shared on social media.

This unusual occurrence left shelter workers puzzled until they checked security footage, revealing Brenda’s remarkable feat of friendship. As a result, the staff decided to accommodate the duo in a larger kennel, optimistically hoping they’d be adopted together.

Their wish came true and the news was announced on TikTok in a delightful video featuring Brenda and Linda ecstatically tugging towards the door of their new home, set to the tune of Weezer’s “Happy Together”. The caption on the TikTok video announced, “Brenda and Linda found their forever home TOGETHER! Thank you to all our friends who shared to make this pawsible for them.”

The joyous update came just a day after the original video of Brenda’s high-jumping escapade took the internet by storm. It’s indeed a testament to the power of sharing such stories on social media, which often results in the animals finding loving homes sooner.

Blair Foy, a marketing and communications manager for the city of Minneapolis, shed light on the community’s response. “It is so heartwarming to see the way that the public and community are responding to animals in need. In this case, two sweet dogs who didn’t have a home got the chance to have a new family forever, and they get to be together,” Foy said.
